I’m Maggie — the voice behind Howler & Hummingbird.

 

I write from Guanacaste, Costa Rica, where my husband Bob and I are building a slower, simpler life beneath the sun. What started as a leap toward something quieter has turned into an adventure filled with construction dust, garden soil, good coffee, and more howls and hums than we ever expected.

Here, I share pieces of our life abroad — the lessons, the small joys, the projects that keep our hands busy and hearts full. It’s about finding rhythm in a new place, creating beauty from the ordinary, and embracing every imperfect, wonderful day.
